About

I am a CPA and founder of my firm, Wilken & Company, P.C., CPAs, located in Portland, Oregon.  I have worked with many businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations over the last 25 years.  A consistent problem that I have seen is a lack of understanding about accounting software, accounting processes, and our income tax system.  I hope to demystify these topics as well as educate business owners and fiscal managers to help create greater efficiencies and better, more accurate financial information from the accounting function.  I also hope to offer a forum for my ideas and those of others regarding how to achieve a fairer and simpler income tax system in the U.S.
